During your first consultation, the physio will carry out a full assessment which will take up to 45 minutes. During this first visit the physio will take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant medical history. A physical assessment will then be carried out to determine the clinical diagnosis of your problem.

The physio will discuss their findings with you and propose a treatment plan. This may include a wide range of hands-on therapy techniques, the use of electronic and electrical apparatus, exercises, and advice for self-treatment and prevention of further problems. Kim and Fionne are qualified to administer acupuncture for musculo-skeletal conditions.

As well as conducting objective and evidence-based analysis, Kim Buckley & Associates believe it is important to understand a client's broader situation and lifestyle, and how this may affect ongoing treatment and recovery. By spending time with you, it is often possible for the physio to show how to prevent the problem happening again. In all cases emphasis will be on a realistic approach to treatment tailored to each client's needs and abilities.

Every opportunity will be given to you to ask questions about your condition, and advice regarding its management and prevention in the future.

Subsequent treatment sessions will last between thirty and forty-five minutes.
